Summary

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The EEG Technologist performs and oversees electroneurodiagnostic testing including EEG's and evoked potentials on infants, children, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients according to physician orders and departmental procedures.Performs training and clinical supervision of other neurodiagnostic personnel.Develops and updates the neurodiagnostic training program for Continuous Video EEG (CVE) monitoring for departmental staff.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalency required.Minimum of two (2) years post-high school coursework in science or math required.Bachelor's degree preferred.Successful completion of Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist OR Registered Evoked Potential Technologist OR Certificate in Neurophysiological Monitoring credentials required.

OTHER CREDENTIALS / CERTIFICATIONS:

Basis Life Support (CPR) certification required.
