Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required; Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in related field.
• College level neuroanatomy knowledge required.
• Competency in medical terminology.
• Must be able to perform all neurophysiology lab testing modalities.
• Must be able to work independently and take initiative to resolve problems.
• Must be able to work well with external customers of all ages.
• Must act as a team builder and handle change effectively.
• CPR or BLS - AHA certification required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge to provide care appropriate to patient age groups served.
• Performs EEG testing including Routine, Long-term/Continuous, Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, Ambulatory, plus second modality of NCS/EMG/IONM/Autonomics/EPs.
• Maintains logs and records and ensures reports are delivered per procedures.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies (e.g., Joint Commission, ABRET, ASET, NAEC).
• Monitors and communicates changes to management and staff.
• Performs related clerical duties such as scheduling, phones, charges, and filing as needed.
• Shapes a culture of teamwork, morale, and customer service as reflected in patient and employee satisfaction.
• Investigates and resolves complaints or incidents involving patients and staff, with escalation as needed.
• Supports interviews and orientation for new trainees and participates in performance evaluations when asked.
