Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Registered in Nerve Conduction Testing through a qualified organization (AAET/ABEM).
• Must become board certified in the major field within three years of employment.
• BLS certification required.
• One year of experience in a clinic or inpatient setting.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate NDC equipment to record brain waves and nerve impulses; monitor, record and document all aspects of recording.
• Perform EEGs and Long‑Term Epilepsy monitoring and drug‑induced studies.
• Prepare the patient, explain the procedure, and ensure cooperation during the procedure.
• Assist physician with Botox procedures and documentation.
• Troubleshoot malfunctioning or inoperative equipment and coordinate maintenance with Biomedical Engineering.
• Provide on‑call and weekend coverage.
• Provide training to non‑registered techs or tech students as assigned.
• Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
