Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is seeking a skilled professional to administer noninvasive brain stimulation procedures (TMS, tDCS, EMG, EEG) in a clinical/research setting. You will document patient history, explain procedures, and assist the attending physician with technique selection and interpretation.

The role involves reporting neurophysiologic data, maintaining equipment, training new technicians, and ensuring lab quality and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1–3 years related work experience required.
• Experience with computer systems and MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access).

Responsibilities

• Applies noninvasive brain stimulation procedures (eg. TMS, tDCS, EMG, EEG) to patients and research participants.
• Records pertinent history of the patient’s primary symptoms and outlines procedures to patients.
• Determines the neurophysiologic technique to be performed as requested by the attending physician and consults on interpretation.
• Prepares a summary report of neurophysiologic data and compiles representative recordings.
• Trains new technicians under supervision and maintains cleanliness and equipment.
• Orders supplies, conducts quality control, and coordinates with vendors for repairs when necessary.
