Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinates daily nursing and staffing activities of department.
• Ensures staff are trained and competent to perform all tasks.
• Assist with hiring, performance appraisals, and promotions; assigns work and reviews subordinates.
• Resolves work issues and advises manager on complex situations.
• Supports accreditation surveys and quality improvement initiatives.
• Provides competent care and ensures adherence to standards of care and scope of practice.
• Leads process improvement initiatives and helps develop department policies.
• Oversees orientation, annual competencies, and ongoing quality of work.
