Qualifications

• RN license in Illinois (IDFPR) in good standing.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• BSN required for the role.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates daily nursing and staffing activities of department.
• Ensure staff are trained and competent to perform all tasks.
• Recommend hiring, performance appraisals, and promotions; assign and review work.
• Resolve work issues and assist staff; escalate to manager when needed.
• Support accreditation surveys and departmental audits; aid in implementing changes.
• Provide/highlight quality improvement initiatives and audits as directed.
• Lead process improvement efforts and participate in policy development.
• Ensure efficient day-to-day operations; conduct daily huddles.
• Monitor productivity of nursing/CMA/MA staff and ensure standards.
• Oversee orientation and yearly competencies; maintain ongoing quality.
• Coordinate performance improvement projects and ensure clinical practice excellence.
• Focus on patient safety and education for nursing/CMA/MA staff.
• Ensure DNv standards are upheld and staff engagement activities.
