Job summary

The Neurology RN at Mercy Hospital South’s Medical 8 East unit provides direct patient care using the nursing process, coordinating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. The role emphasizes ongoing assessments, documentation, and compassionate, patient-centered care in a neuro setting.

New grads and experienced nurses are welcome; active RN license in MO or a compact state is required, plus BLS. BSN and prior hospital experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN).
• Active RN license in Missouri or a compact state.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (or within 30 days of hire).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process with physicians and teams.
• Perform ongoing patient assessments and coordinate care.
• Document care accurately and maintain patient rights and confidentiality.
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care aligned with Mercy’s mission.
