Job summary

SGMC Health is seeking an experienced registered nurse for the Medical Neurology department at the Main Campus. This full-time position covers a 12-hour day shift from 7a to 7p and involves patient assessment, care planning, documentation, and coordination with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires Georgia RN licensure and CPR certification; one year of related specialty experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Georgia; CPR required.
• One year experience in related specialty preferred.
• Ability to work well individually and as a team leader or member.
• Strong communication and critical thinking in patient care.
• Ability to read and interpret policies and patient care standards.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care through assessment and implementation of the nursing process for all age groups cared for on the unit.
• Performs and assists with procedures.
• Documents care provided.
• Coordinates patient’s plan of care with physicians and other disciplines.
• Maintains an atmosphere aligned with SGMC Health's mission, vision, values, code of conduct, goals, policies and standards.
