Job summary

The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Research Project Manager for the Merkin PNNR Center to manage the administrative and scientific implementation of complex research projects within the Neurology department.

As part of a research team, you will collaborate with faculty, develop project plans, SOPs, and oversee all activities for one or more studies, including grant submission and regulatory compliance. Hybrid work on the School of Medicine Campus is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required.
• Five years of related research experience required.
• Demonstrated supervisory or lead responsibilities.
• Additional education may substitute for required experience or education per Johns Hopkins equivalency formula.

Responsibilities

• Partner with investigators and exercise independent judgment in managing the conduct of the research on behalf of the PI.
• Participate in scientific discussions with collaborators, PIs, and funding organizations.
• Collaborate with PI on protocol development and study design.
• Develop or oversee development of SOPs and data collection forms from protocol.
• Train and oversee research data management and regulatory compliance issues.
• Develop or oversee development of study budgets and ensure all costs are included.
• Responsible for finance-related issues.
• Oversee data collection and validation; ensure quality control of study data.
• Lead study meetings to examine data and adjust protocols as needed.
• Contribute to presentations and manuscripts.
• Hire, supervise, and manage performance of other exempt-level research staff.
