Job summary

Texas Institute for Neurological Disorders / US Neurology Associates is seeking a dedicated Prior Authorization Representative on-site in Plano/Frisco. The role supports neurology services, imaging, infusions, and related procedures with end-to-end authorization management.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of pediatric or adult outpatient prior authorization experience, strong payer portal skills, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of dedicated prior authorization experience in an outpatient specialty healthcare setting.
• Experience independently managing high-volume authorization queues.
• Direct experience with payer portals, medical necessity requirements, and appeals.
• Ability to prioritize time-sensitive cases and maintain detail orientation.
• Clear written and verbal communication with clinical teams and payer representatives.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, submit, track, and close prior authorization requests for visits, imaging, infusions, injections, and ancillary services.
• Review scheduled services and payer requirements to determine documentation needs for authorization and medical necessity.
• Obtain and organize clinical records, codes, and supporting documentation for submission.
• Complete authorization activity through payer portals and electronic workflows within turnaround times.
• Monitor pending cases daily and follow up with payers and clinical teams until final determinations are received.
• Renew authorizations for ongoing treatment plans before expiration.
