Infinite Medical P.C. is seeking a Neurology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in Danbury, CT on a part-time basis. You will provide comprehensive neurological care to residents in long-term care settings, including epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson's disease.

Required: active NP/PA license, DEA, Master’s in nursing, 6 months in long-term care, 1 year neurology experience; strong organization; EMR experience preferred. Competitive salary with benefits.

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and compassionate Neurology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team. As a Neurology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to patients with neurological disorders, including epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, and other neurological conditions. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, including medication management and non-pharmacologic interventions
• Conduct regular follow-up visits to monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and provide education and support
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure a multidisciplinary approach
• Provide patient and family education on disease management, medications, and lifestyle modifications
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters and treatment plans
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and optimize patient care delivery
• Perform comprehensive assessments to accurately diagnose and treat patients with neurological conditions

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility
• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license
• DEA License
• CPR BCLS/BLS certified
• Must hold a Master's Degree in Nursing
• Completed a degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• A year of experience in Neurology
• Preferred experience in Documenting EMR (Sigma, Visual, PCC, etc.): training provided
• Must have great organizational and time management skills.
• Prolonged standing/walking. Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. Computer work. Lifting/moving patients. Prolonged sitting.
