Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Nurse Aide I to provide direct patient care in a 24/7 environment at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center's Critical Care unit. The role requires a state-approved CNA program completion and BCLS, with emphasis on safe, compassionate care and accurate patient communication.

Day shift, full-time schedule, 35.1 hours per week, with benefits eligibility and competitive base compensation within the posted pay range.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Completion of a State Approved Nurse Aide I course required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Participates in implementation of the nursing process by giving direct care to patients under RN direction.
• Performs procedures correctly under RN direction.
• Creates and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, self, co-workers and facility.
• Ensures complete, accurate and timely communication of patient information.
• Communicates with team, co-workers, patients and family in an effective, professional manner.
• Takes responsibility for performance and professional growth.
• Provides age/developmental appropriate patient care in line with age-specific guidelines.
