Ascension Seton Cedar Park Medical Plaza in Cedar Park, TX, is seeking a full-time Neurology Nurse Practitioner to deliver outpatient care in collaboration with attending physicians. The role focuses on assessing, diagnosing, and managing complex acute and chronic neurological conditions, ordering advanced diagnostics, and educating patients for long-term quality of life.

Qualifications

  • Licensed as Nurse Practitioner in Texas prior to hire date.
  • Licensed as Registered Nurse in Texas prior to hire date.
  • BLS Provider preferred (AHA or Red Cross accepted).
  • DEA credential preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive outpatient neurological care in collaboration with attending physicians.
  • Order and interpret advanced diagnostic studies to guide treatment plans.
  • Educate patients and families on neurological conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle management.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary referrals and connect patients with community resources.

How you’ll make an impact in this role
  • Join an established team of 2 physicians and 1 APP
  • Practice setting: outpatient
  • Call Structure: evening call split 1:3
  • Employed position within a nonprofit health system
  • Deliver comprehensive outpatient care by assessing, diagnosing, and managing complex acute and chronic neurological conditions in close collaboration with attending physicians.
  • Guide diagnostic and treatment plans by ordering and interpreting advanced diagnostic studies to build precise, individualized care strategies.
  • Empower patients and families through proactive education on neurological conditions, treatment pathways, and lifestyle management to support long‑term quality of life.
  • Ensure seamless care continuity by coordinating multidisciplinary referrals and connecting patients with vital healthcare and community resources.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration preferred.

Education:

  • Master's degree of Nursing required.

  • 2 years of Neurology APP experience
