Job summary

McLaren in Michigan is seeking a Medical Assistant/Patient Care Tech to perform a variety of clinical tasks under supervision, including vital signs, injections, venipuncture, and assisting with exams. This role supports providers and maintains efficient patient flow.

Requirements include a high school diploma and six months of MA or PCT experience; completion of MA/EMT/Nurse Aide/LPN programs; BLS within 6 months; and willingness to work full-time in a hospital/clinic setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months experience as Medical Assistant or Patient Care Tech.
• For Rural Health Designation clinics, BLS within 6 months of hire.
• Float positions may require travel between clinics.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and assist in examinations and tests.
• Administer injections and venipuncture; perform EKGs and related tests.
• Prepare rooms and stock supplies; organize forms for visits.
• Document interventions and patient responses in chart/EMR.
• Assist with gynecological exams, physicals and office visits.
