Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical support in our Neurology practice in Hartford, CT. You will room patients, take vital signs, document in the EHR, and assist with procedures while collaborating with care teams to ensure a smooth patient experience.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 6 months of related experience, and preferably an Associate’s Degree in Medical Assistance; CMA certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 6 months of related work experience.
• Associate’s Degree in Medical Assistance preferred; CMA certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepares exam and treatment rooms; prepares patients for examination and treatment.
• Obtains patient history and vital signs; documents in medical record.
• Processes and files lab results and notes after physician review.
• Coordinates patient flow with front desk to ensure timely visits.
• Assists front office with phones and scheduling.
