Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group in Hartford, CT is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care under supervision and perform clerical duties within the MA scope of education, including vitals, screenings, and health maintenance. The role supports Stroke, Neuromuscular and Epilepsy departments in a busy practice.

Qualified candidates will have an accredited MA diploma or CT CNA/EMT/Paramedic certification, CPR/BLS, and EPIC EMR experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Accredited Medical Assistant program diploma or CT CNA/EMT/Paramedic certification.
• BLS/CPR certification required or to be obtained within 3 months.
• All credentials maintained during employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under provider supervision (vitals, screenings, history, health maintenance).
• Perform clerical tasks within MA scope (scheduling, check-in/out, referrals, chart prep).
• Assist with Stroke, Neuromuscular and Epilepsy department coverage.
