Job summary

St. Joseph's/Candler in Savannah, GA seeks an Advanced Practice Provider, Neurology to obtain histories, perform neurologic exams, and coordinate care in an ambulatory setting.

You will educate patients and families, document encounters, refer for labs and imaging, and collaborate with supervising Neurologist. Requires Masters APRN or PA Studies, state licensure, and BLS; ambulatory care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing APRN or PA studies required.
• License in state of practice required; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Renders direct patient care to patients in an ambulatory setting per best practice and physician protocol.
• Assists in managing patient care gaps and urgent conditions; accommodates urgent appointments.
• Performs thorough medical documentation and updates patient records within three days of encounters.
• Refers patients for follow up tests, imaging, or subspecialist care as warranted.
• Communicates with patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self-management.

Education

Master's in Nursing APRN or Master's in Physician Assistant Studies

Graduation from accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
