Job summary

Qualifications

• BSN required; MSN preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of professional nursing experience in a clinical setting.
• Minimum 2 years of Nurse Practitioner experience.
• Current Georgia RN license and Georgia APRN license with prescriptive authority.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and neurological examinations.
• Order and interpret labs and diagnostic tests to inform diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and treatments per guidelines and regulations.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and preventive health measures.
• Maintain accurate documentation within HealthConnect EMR.
• Collaborate with neurologists and other healthcare professionals for coordinated care.
• Participate in quality improvement, peer reviews, and clinical guideline development.
• Provide continuity of care by monitoring progress and adjusting treatment plans.
