Job summary

The Southeast Permanente Medical Group in Atlanta, GA is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our Neurology team. Qualifications

• BSN required; MSN preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of professional nursing experience in a clinical setting.
• Minimum of two (2) years of Nurse Practitioner experience.
• Current Georgia Registered Nurse license.
• Current Georgia Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license with prescriptive authority.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations, and evaluation of presenting neurological concerns.
• Order and interpret laboratory studies, diagnostic testing, and screenings to develop accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with guidelines and state regulations.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and preventive health measures.
• Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record (HealthConnect).
• Collaborate with neurologists and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer reviews, continuing education, and clinical guideline development.
• Provide continuity of care by monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans.

The Southeast Permanente Medical Group (TSPMG) is one of Georgia's largest independent, physician-owned, multi-specialty medical groups. We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our Neurology team. This position provides comprehensive patient care through assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, and ongoing management of neurological conditions while working collaboratively with physicians and an interdisciplinary care team.

Position Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of professional nursing experience in a clinical setting.
• Minimum of two (2) years of Nurse Practitioner experience.
• Current Georgia Registered Nurse license.
• Current Georgia Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license with prescriptive authority.
• Current CPR certification.
