Centre For Neuro Skills in Bakersfield, CA seeks a Neuro Physical Therapist to join our team as a Staff Physical Therapist. The role offers full-time, part-time, or PRN availability and focuses on helping individuals with brain injuries regain independence and meaningful life.

You will design personalized treatment plans, conduct evaluations, and supervise aides while collaborating with families and insurers. A supportive environment emphasizes education and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
• Current licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of employment.
• Membership in APTA is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and Maintain Therapeutic Programs: Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to help patients achieve their goals.
• Conduct Evaluations: Administer initial evaluations, identify primary impairments, and use appropriate outcome measures to create effective treatment plans.
• Implement Treatment Programs: Provide therapy, vestibular rehabilitation, home evaluations with recommendations, orthotic and assistive device recommendations, and therapeutic home programs.
• Provide Pain Relief: Use modalities such as hot packs, cold packs, Omni stim units, neuromuscular stimulation units, transcutaneous nerve stimulation units, and perform light and deep massage to relieve pain.
• Program Management: Continuously check on patient progress to ensure the effectiveness of treatment programs. Review and update patient programs through interim evaluations.
• Supervise and Guide: Instruct clinic aides on daily treatment plans, supervise their work, and provide guidance and advice as needed. Supervise students and share your expertise and knowledge.
• Reporting and Communication: Maintain accurate records and reports. Consult with patients, insurance representatives, families, and therapists from various clinic disciplines to provide guidance and information.

Education

Master's Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy
