Job summary

Capital Health Medical Group in New Jersey is seeking a Neurohospitalist to evaluate and treat patients with disorders of the nerves, spine and brain. You will perform exams, order tests, interpret results and guide therapies to improve neurological outcomes.

As part of our team, you will diagnose complex cases, discuss aftercare with patients, monitor progress and adjust treatments as needed, while maintaining meticulous medical records for billing.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree with BC/BE in Neurology.
• Active NJ and PA licenses or eligibility.
• 3+ years of neurology training in an accredited residency.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose complex neurological problems through history, exam and tests.
• Consult with patients on aftercare and long-term management.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatments as needed.
• Prescribe treatments or medications to improve condition.
• Order tests and interpret results for optimal care.
• Maintain accurate medical records for billing and compliance.
• Attend trainings and seminars to stay current in neurology.
• Participate in on-call schedule as required.

Capital Health Medical Group is seeking a Neurohospitalist who will be responsible for examining and treating patients who experience disorders, illnesses and injuries that affect the nerves, spinal cord and brain. Their duties include conducting physical examinations, collecting spinal fluid or other samples and running neurological tests to identify problems.

Opportunity Details:

• Diagnosing complex medical problems by referring to a patient's history, examining them and conducting neurological tests

• Consult with patients on aftercare and long-term health management strategies

• Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatments or medication as needed

• Prescribe treatments or medication best suited to improve the patient's condition

• Order tests and interpret results in order to determine the best treatment options

• Keep accurate patient medical records; completing all necessary documentation to allow for timely and efficient billing and claim submittal

• Attend training and seminars to stay up to date on the latest trends and developments in neurology

• Participates in on-call schedule in a responsive and timely manner
