Qualifications

• 2 years Critical Care, Labor & Delivery/ED/OR care settings preferred.
• Masters Nursing Practitioner required or Masters Physician Assistant program required.
• APRN Licensure or PA Licensure in Florida/Georgia required at time of hire.
• BCLS required at time of hire; ACLS and PALS preferred; DEA within 90 days for new grads in Orthopedics.

Responsibilities

• Performs or assists with high-complexity procedures in office, inpatient unit, OR, or ED; may perform first assist in OR; call coverage may be required.
• Actively participates in interdisciplinary meetings, functions, events, and committees.
• Care for patients with neuroendovascular pathology including acute strokes in critical care and outpatient settings; opportunity to scrub in/first assist in Neuroendovascular procedures.
• Monitor and manage invasive devices and post-/pre-procedure patient care.
• Enter and manage clinical data in EMR; document encounters per billing guidelines; discharge planning and routine procedures.
• Educates patients and families about health care; supports shared decision making.
• Contributes to program development, quality initiatives, and research; participates in professional development.
• Other duties as assigned.
