Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Registered Neurophysiology Technologist for Neurodiagnostics at Lake Forest Hospital. This full-time role includes EEG testing and monitoring, with a schedule of 8:00am-4:30pm and on-call nights and weekends. The position requires ENDT or BS, or 5 years EEG experience, and BLS CPR certification.

Primary duties include electrode placement, signal quality checks, and communication with a neurologist. Benefits and background checks are part of the process.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of ENDT program or a BS degree is required or 5 years EEG experience in lieu.
• American Heart Association BLS CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for test and/or monitoring and place recording electrodes.
• Follow established protocols for EEG procedures and monitor quality of signals.
• Troubleshoot inadequate signals and communicate abnormalities to neurologist.
• Maintain and calibrate neurodiagnostic equipment and stock supplies.
• Record studies and enter notes and observations.
• Provide patient explanations and reassure patients before procedures.
• Collaborate with team and provide coverage as needed.
• Participate in ongoing department education and quality improvement.
