Job summary

Sentara Healthcare Inc. seeks a Registered Neurodiagnostic Technologist to execute neurophysiological studies in the lab, intra-operatively, and in ICU settings. You will operate specialized instruments, document findings, and verify proper ordering, coding, and reporting of tests.

Competency in epilepsy-related or intraoperative monitoring is preferred, with required EEG/CNIM/REPT certifications and BLS. A high school diploma with experience or an associate degree is expected for this full-time

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required with at least 1 year of experience.
Associate’s degree in Electro Neurodiagnostic Tech preferred.
Certifications: EEG tech, REPT or CNIM required; BLS required.

Responsibilities

Perform a wide range of neurophysiological diagnostic studies in lab, OR, and ICU settings.
Operate and perform preventive maintenance on complex monitoring instruments.
Document all acquired data for interpretation and ensure tests are properly ordered, charged, and reported.
Provide independent assessments that may indicate urgent medical interaction.
