The CNP Technologist III functions as the multi-skilled component of the Division's technical staff performing electroencephalography (EEG), Evoked Potentials, Autonomic and/or Nerve Conduction Studies. Must demonstrate advanced competency, skill and knowledge in neurodiagnostic procedural testing in the area of hire. The technologists are responsible for complete and accurate patient preparation, data acquisition, and providing a safe testing environment. Must be highly organized, efficient, and able to work independently. Must be continually involved in advanced job competencies to enhance the work environment.
As our Mayo Clinic Neurology department continues to grow in innovation, education, and technology, we are looking for amazing Neurodiagnostic Technologists to join our team. This position can be filled by a Tech I, II or III.
Our technologists are responsible for complete and accurate patient preparation, data acquisition, providing a safe testing environment, and must demonstrate minimum competency, skill, and knowledge in neurodiagnostic procedural testing in the area of hire.

Tech I
High School Diploma or GED. Graduate of an accredited institution for neurodiagnostic technology or 2 years equivalent neurodiagnostic tech experience. Associate’s degree preferred. Computer skills required. Must have demonstrated communication, problem solving, and organizational ability. Within two years of employment, specific certification through ABRET - Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation (R. EEG T., R. EP T., CNIM, CLTM and CAP); Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine (ABEM; CNCT) and/or AAET - The Nerve Conduction Association (R.NCS.T.) is required in the laboratory of hire. The Registry Examination should be attempted as soon as the employee is eligible. Must have current certification in Basic Life Support.
Tech II
High School Diploma or GED and 3 years of Neurodiagnostics experience. Associate’s degree preferred. Computer skills required. Demonstrated leadership abilities including above average communication skills (verbal and written). Demonstrated ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and appropriately interpret information relative to the patient's age-specific needs. Must be a current Registered Neurodiagnostic Technologist to apply. Registries include specific certification through ABRET – Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation (R. EEG T., R. EP T., CNIM, CLTM and CAP); American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine (ABEM; CNCT) and/or AAET - The Nerve Conduction Association (R.NCS.T.). Must have current certification in Basic Life Support.
Tech III
High School Diploma or GED and 5 years of Neurodiagnostics experience. Associate’s degree preferred. Computer skills required. Demonstrated leadership abilities including excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Proven ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and appropriately interpret information relative to the patient's age-specific needs. Obtaining additional credentials is strongly encouraged and preferred.
Must have current certification in Basic Life Support. Must be a current Registered Neurodiagnostic Technologist and have two of the following registries or meet qualifications outlined below for one registry. Registries include specific certification through ABRET - Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation (R. EEG T., R. EP T., CNIM, CLTM and CAP); American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine (ABEM; CNCT) and/or AAET - The Nerve Conduction Association (R.NCS.T.).
One registry and:
Minimum five years neurodiagnostic inpatient experience OR
Minimum ten years neurodiagnostic experience (outpatient and/or inpatient)
