A leading healthcare provider seeks a part-time EEG Technologist responsible for high-quality neurodiagnostic tests and patient care in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. The ideal candidate will collaborate with neurologists, hold an accredited Electroneurodiagnostic certification, and possess strong experience in EEG techniques.
SUMMARY
Responsible for producing high-quality neurodiagnostic tests to provide physicians with clinical data for diagnosis. Collaborates with Neurologists to improve patient care. Performs non-invasive EEG testing and continuous monitoring for Neurology/Epilepsy patients in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU), including setup, editing, and data analysis. Oversees the clinical practice of EEG Technicians and Trainees.
Education
Minimum: Graduate of an accredited Electroneurodiagnostic Program (END) or equivalent on-the-job training with at least two years of experience.
Preferred: Graduate of an accredited Electroneurodiagnostic Program with an Associate's Degree and one year of Electroneurodiagnostic experience.
Credentials/Licensure
Minimum: Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification or ability to obtain upon hire. Certification as an EEG Technologist by the American Board of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists (ABRET).
Related Experience
Minimum: One or more years of neurodiagnostic experience. Demonstrated competency in routine EEG techniques, long-term monitoring, recordings, lab protocols, and instrumentation.
Preferred: Competency in Visual Evoked Potentials, Electromyography (EMG), Brainstem Auditory Evoked Response (BAER), and WADA testing.
Variable hours include days, nights, weekends, and rotating holidays.
