Job summary

Geisinger Wyoming Valley seeks a Neurodiagnostic Technologist to perform neurodiagnostic testing with day/night rotation, often on call. Training is provided; a High School Diploma or GED is required, and prior neurodiagnostic or healthcare experience is preferred.

The role emphasizes accurate EEG procedures, patient safety, and ongoing learning of waveform recognition, anatomy, and safety standards in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong computer skills and effective communication needed.
• Experience as a preceptor or trainer is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform Neurodiagnostic procedures per facility policy, training under supervision when not yet competent.
• Recognize clinically significant findings and report critical results.
• Maintain patient safety and coordinate with care staff during testing.
• Learn EEG waveform recognition and related terminology.
• Assess patients regarding electrode application, allergies, and cognitive function.
• Troubleshoot equipment and ensure proper electrode connections.
