Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Basic Life Insurance Tuition Reimbursement Employer Paid Short-Term Disability and Long-Term Disability Adoption Assistance Plan Qualifications: Prior experience preferred Associate's or bachelor's degree in Neurodiagnostic Technology or related field. Certification as Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (R.EEG.T) or equivalent credential from the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET). Proficiency in using neurodiagnostic equipment, including EEG amplifiers, NCS machines, EMG devices, and EP systems. BLS certification within 90 days of hire Job Responsibilities: Set up and calibrate technical equipment and ensure accurate data collection during tests. Observes and monitor patients' vital signs, reactions, and responses throughout the diagnostic procedures. Ensure patient comfort and safety during the procedure. Analyzes the collected data and prepares detailed reports for physicians and healthcare professionals. Identifies abnormal patterns and deviations from normal brain and nerve function. Cleans, maintains, and calibrates neurodiagnostic equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results. Troubleshoots with vendors and IT on technical issues and coordinate repairs. Explains the procedures and tests to patients and address any concerns or questions they may have as well as provides instructions for pre-test preparations and post-test care. Collaborates and communicates effectively with physicians, neurologists, and other healthcare professionals to discuss patient cases, provide input, and assist in treatment planning. Maintains accurate and organized patient records, test results, and reports. Keeps current with procedures and regulations in the clinical laboratory. Maintains adequate inventory of supplies for testing procedures. Performs necessary quality control in all areas and follows-up with corrective action as needed. Ensures all preventative maintenance is performed on testing equipment and documentation is stored per department policy. Keeps accurate records of tests, quality control, and maintenance performed. Takes feedback and direction on performance from physicians and neurologists. Adheres to confidentiality and privacy policies and procedures of the organization. Evaluates quality control data, proficiency data, and quality assurance data as needed. Reviews all Neurology procedures and policies on an annual basis. Assists with the evaluation and development of new or improved test systems. Assists with training new employees. Attends the Fire Safety/Universal Precautions in-service as directed by Quality Services. Participates in quality control activities and assists in implementation improvement measures. Completes all annual education as required. Maintains a respectful working relationship with all co-workers. Other duties as assigned.
