Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks a Neurodiagnostic Technician to conduct electroencephalograms, EMG/NCV, and ambulatory EEGs following ASET guidelines and departmental procedures. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare related field or graduate of a CAAHEP Neurodiagnostic Tech program or ABRET recognized program, or 1–2 years related experience.
• Preferred: R. EEG.T, R.NCS.T, CAP through ABRET
• CPR and background clearances may be required

Responsibilities

• Performs all EEGs, routine and ambulatory EEGs, EMG/NCV testing per ASETest guidelines and departmental policy (65%).
• Schedules neurodiagnostic procedures and provides accurate instructions (10%).
• Performs billing documentation and maintains department records (10%).
• Maintains electrophysiological equipment and performs quality control on testing devices (10%).
• Participates in activities to improve patient care and services (5%).
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
