Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a Neurodiagnostic Tech I to perform neurodiagnostic testing in the Epilepsy Center/Clinical Neurophysiology.

The role includes EEG, Evoked Potentials, NCS, intraoperative monitoring, and long-term monitoring, with a PRN overnight shift from 6p–6:30a in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. Qualifications

• High school diploma required; 2 years of college preferred or 1–2 years EEG experience preferred.
• Neurodiagnostic program graduate or completion of ASET EEG Curriculum required.
• Registration preferred in EEG (R. EEG T.) or Evoked Potentials (R. EP T.) by ABRET or Registered NCS Technologist (R. NCS. T.) by AAET.
• Basic Life Support Certification required.
• Ability to move machines and patients weighing in excess of 25 pounds.
• Ability to effectively communicate with hospital staff and departments.

Responsibilities

• Obtains physiologic data from the central and peripheral nervous system; analyzes and reports results.
• Recognizes and corrects artifacts; calibrates, maintains, and troubleshoots equipment.
• Explains test procedures to patients/families using age-appropriate guidelines; assists with scheduling if needed.
• Prepares reports, maintains logs, and manages EPIC charges and database maintenance.
• Reviews, annotates, clips, and archives neurodiagnostic recordings.
