Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or associate's degree with two years healthcare experience.

  • Ability to recognize normal and abnormal electrical activity.
  • Ability to comprehend data acquisition and averaging.

Responsibilities

  • Develops rapport with patients and explains testing procedures.
  • Obtains and records patient medical history.
  • Elicits and records electrical potentials and interprets responses for neurologist review.
  • Maintains proper care in equipment use and reports problems to supervisor.
  • Performs long-term EEG/video monitoring and transcribes data.
  • Follows safety, environmental and infection control practices.
  • Duties may change; management reserves rights.
