Job summary

The Neuro Diagnostic Technician at 101 Riverside Hospital, Inc. works under physician and supervisor to perform nerve conduction studies, EEG, BAER, SSEP, and VEPS, delivering patient education and care in line with department protocols.

Responsibilities include collecting data, ensuring data quality, and coordinating testing with the ordering physician, while maintaining safety, infection control, and CPR/BCLS standards for patients across all ages.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED (Required).
• Experience: Less than 1 year Neurodiagnostic Tech trainee with documented proficiency in all required competencies in lieu of Neurodiagnostic technician program (Preferred).
• Licenses and Certifications: Certificate by the Board of Registered Neurodiagnostic technicians (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates positive interpersonal relations with co-workers and physicians to promote efficiency and quality patient care.
• Maintains CPR or BCLS certification.
• Complies with safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines.
• Supports safe practices per National Patient Safety Goals and National Quality Forum recommendations.
• Assists with resource changes to support cost containment and waste reduction.
• Delivers patient-centered care using RMG standards of customer excellence.
• Follows procedural protocols to collect appropriate data.
• Performs data acquisition with artifact-free signals and makes necessary adjustments.
• Evaluates sleep study equipment and inventory.
• Documents routine observations and changes in procedure.
• Interacts with patients and families in a respectful manner to promote understanding.
• Oversees and performs complex procedures and therapeutic interventions as needed.
• Provides age-appropriate care for pediatric to geriatric patients.
