WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals seeks a Neurodiagnostic (ND) Technician to perform EEG or EMG procedures with pediatric and adult patients. You will prepare patients, set up equipment, and assist physicians by providing technical data for diagnoses under supervision.

The role requires competency in the specified specialization within 6 months and engagement in ongoing training for ND procedures and equipment. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or equivalent Allied Health training.
• Graduate of a CAAHEP ND program or completion of ASET EEG Core Curriculum.
• Certification in one of: R.NCS.T., CNCT or R.EEG.T within 2 years of hire.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate scheduling of inpatient and outpatient ND procedures.
• Document ND procedures in patient charts.
• Prepare data for ND reports for physicians.
• Evaluate final reports to facilitate accurate billing.
• Perform EEG or EMG procedures in designated area of specialization.
• Assist in training ND trainees and staff.
• Maintain and troubleshoot ND equipment; report malfunctions.
