Job summary

UNC Health’s Sleep Disorders Program in Chapel Hill seeks a Neurodiagnostic Tech II to perform standard and complex neurodiagnostic tests and polysomnographic testing in the Sleep Disorders Lab. Work may be in the lab or at patient bedside, with a patient-centered culture emphasizing support, clinical structure, and leadership.

Hours are 8:00am–6:00pm. The role offers a $10,000 commitment incentive paid over three years and on-site work in US:NC:Chapel Hill.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an acceptable Neurodiagnostics program or pathway.
• RPSGT certification or equivalent licensure in polysomnography.
• Completion of an acceptable Neurodiagnostics program or pathway.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic polysomnographic testing and scoring.
• Set up room and equipment; calibrate and maintain devices.
• Read and score neurodiagnostic and polysomnographic tests.
• Provide guidance to other technologists in the lab.
• Take patient history and explain test preparation.
• Remote scoring opportunities may be available.
• Perform HSAT setup and download.
