Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Technologist EMG for the Harrington Hospital Southbridge Campus. The role involves operating NDC equipment, recording brain waves, and assisting with Botox procedures. Must have a High School diploma, registration in nerve conduction testing, and BLS.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Registered in Nerve Conduction Testing through AAET or ABEM.
• Must become board certified in major field of testing within three years of employment.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operates NDC equipment to record brain waves and nerve impulses; documents data on tracing.
• Performs EEGs and Long-Term Epilepsy monitoring as specified.
• Assists in Botox procedures and positions patients for procedures as trained.
• Troubleshoots and maintains equipment; coordinates with Biomedical Engineering as needed.
• Provides on-call and weekend coverage as assigned.
• Maintains compliance with health and safety regulations and departmental policies.
