Job summary

AdventHealth in Hendersonville, NC is seeking an EMG Technologist to assist with rooming patients, obtain vital signs, and perform neurophysiologic tests including nerve conduction studies. You will document results and coordinate with nurses and physicians to ensure accurate clinical care.

The role requires 1+ year EMG experience or CNCT certification, High School Grad or Equiv, and BLS certification; strong communication and patient care skills are essential in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• 1+ year EMG experience or CNCT certification required.
• High School Grad or Equiv is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Strong written and verbal communication with patients and team.

Responsibilities

• Assists with rooming patients and obtaining vital signs.
• Performs EMG and other neurophysiologic tests and documents results accurately.
• Updates demographics and patient history in the EMR and coordinates with staff.
• Prepares patients for exams, ensuring safety, comfort and modesty; explains procedures.
• Sets up equipment, operates devices, maintains room cleanliness and sterility of reusable electrodes.
