Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Neurodiagnostic Technologist to perform EEGs, LTMs, and related studies under supervision, ensuring quality results and patient safety. Independent EEG tech experience is required for consideration.

Multiple shifts are available (7:30a-4:00p, 12:30p-8:00p, or 7:00a-7:30p). This position offers a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance if moving 50+ miles, and role includes equipment troubleshooting, data documentation, and patient education.

Qualifications

• Certificate of Completion in Neurodiagnostic Technology or related field.
• Associates degree in related field may satisfy education requirements.
• Experience in Neurodiagnostic Tech may substitute for formal education.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and disinfects equipment per infection control policies.
• Completes EEGs and LTMs.
• Documents data in patient chart and lab files accurately.
• Explains tests and procedures to patients to obtain optimal results.
• Performs all types of EEGs including bedside, silent EEGs, and standard lab EEGs.
• Prepares patients for examinations and provides age-appropriate explanations.
• Troubleshoots equipment and arranges repairs per division policy.
• May perform additional neurodiagnostic tests within competence.
