Job summary

UF Health in Gainesville is seeking a skilled Neurodiagnostic Technician to join our Neuromedicine and Heart & Vascular teams. You will perform comprehensive neurodiagnostic tests under supervision, including EEG, EP, NCV, and on-call duties.

This full-time role emphasizes safety, equipment maintenance, and contributing to quality improvement. The ideal candidate will be committed to patient care, able to work with diverse ages, and pursue ABRET REEG T registry within 18 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform neurodiagnostic procedures including EEG and EP.
• Prepare and maintain neurodiagnostic equipment and documentation.
• Assist with EMG and other extended neurodiagnostic tests as competencies allow.
• Maintain patient safety and infection control according to hospital policy.
• Lead or mentor non-registered staff and support continuing education.

Responsibilities

• Perform Neurodiagnostic procedures including routine EEGs across all ages.
• Develop skills to perform additional duties such as NCV and EP.
• Maintain and operate assigned equipment; troubleshoot common issues.
• Contribute to patient safety by following infection control and emergency procedures.
• Assist in education of technical staff and mentor non-registered personnel.
• On-call responsibilities as required by the hospital.
