UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL seeks an EEG Technical Specialist to perform neurodiagnostic procedures under supervision and train toward advanced modalities. The role supports a Level 1 trauma center and NAEC epilepsy designation in a renowned health system.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 2–4 years of college, and at least one END modality registry (REEGT/REPT/RNCST/RPSGT); CLTM/CNIM desirable, with leadership ability and commitment to ongoing training.

Qualifications

• High School graduate.
• 2 to 4 years' college preferred but not required.
• CAHEEP approved ENT training program highly desirable; OJT considered as substitute.
• At least one END modality registry: REEGT, REPT, RNCST, or RPSGT.
• CLTM and/or CNIM desirable.
• Ability to work independently and assume leadership when required.
• Within 18 months, obtain C-LTM monitoring to maintain EMU work.

Responsabilités

Responsibilities

In this role the EEG Tech will perform the following job duties:

• Neurodiagnostic procedures, under the supervision of the Director, Lead Technologist and staff physicians.
• As advanced competencies are completed, the technician may perform more advanced procedures (Neonatal EEG, EP, ICU-LTM, GRIDS, WADA, NCV, EMG).
• This position trains to become a Technologist in all aspects of Neurodiagnostic procedures.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School graduate.
• 2 to 4 years' college preferred but not required.
• Graduation from a CAHEEP approve ENT training program highly desirable.If candidate does not have college then OJT position at a large hospital with demonstrated competencies may be considered as substitute for END program.
• Candidate must have at least one of the four END modality registries to be considered (REEGT, REPT, RNCST, RPSGT).
• CLTM and/or CNIM are highly desirable.
• Ideal candidate must be a highly self-motivated and able to work alone without direction.
• Candidate must also be capable of assuming a leadership role when required.
• C-LTM monitoring will be required to be obtained within 18 months after hire in order to maintain position for EMU work.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Health Care Provider BLS - (American Heart, American Red Cross)
