Job summary

Nicklaushealth is seeking an Electro-neuro-diagnostic Technician to perform Long Term Video-EEG monitoring and intra-operative monitoring with subdural and depth electrodes. The role includes functional brain mapping, SPECT studies, and data retrieval for physician interpretation, following established epilepsy guidelines.

The candidate should have ENDT training or equivalent, BLS certification, and 1–3 years of EEG experience across pediatrics, neonates, ICU, and OR settings.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an Electro-neuro-diagnostic Technology program or equivalent on-the-job training.
  • American Heart Association BLS – must maintain active status.
  • 1-3 years of EEG Technician experience, pediatrics, neonates, ICU and OR monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Long Term Video-EEG monitoring.
  • Conduct intra-operative monitoring with subdural and depth electrodes.
  • Perform Functional Brain Mapping (direct cortical stimulation) and SPECT studies.
  • Ensure safety and sterility of electrodes and cables; report repairs.
  • Maintain recording system integrity after electrode implantation.
  • Observe ECoG from exposed cortex during procedures.
  • Extract clinical data and prescreen EEG/behavioral data for interpretation.
  • Analyze ictal/interictal activity and artifacts.
  • Apply surface electrodes using paste or collodion and 10-20 system.
