You will lead translational efforts to identify and validate therapeutic targets for neurodegenerative diseases, collaborating across cross-functional experts to deliver robust, interpretable results.

Qualifications

• Neurodegeneration specialist with PhD and 1+ years post-doc or industry research.
• Deep understanding of neurodegenerative biology and rodent models.
• Proven publication record and conference presentations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Science: scientific lead for a key segment of our neurodegeneration portfolio and drive studies to actionable conclusions.
• Model Disease Biology: design and execute in vivo studies using rodent models, selecting timepoints and endpoints.
• Analyze Complex Tissue: process and analyze rodent and human brain tissue, including dissection, fixation, and downstream characterization.
• Innovate Quantitative Readouts: develop precise readouts for pathology and disease biology (protein aggregation, neuroinflammation, cell loss, vascular integrity).
• Collaborate Across Disciplines: partner with in vivo pharmacology, histology, molecular biology, computational, and program teams, plus CROs.
• Champion Scientific Rigor: promote experimental rigor, blinding, randomization, and reproducibility.
• Drive Strategic Decisions: contribute to program strategy and go/no-go decisions, flag risks early.
• Ensure Data Integrity: maintain rigorous records and data capture for reproducibility.
• Stay Ahead of the Curve: monitor neurodegeneration literature and translate into internal programs.
