Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking candidates for a Certified Nurse Assistant training program in Springfield, MO. You will support nursing staff by providing basic patient care in a Level I Stroke and Trauma Center unit, with learning and competency assessment throughout the program.

This role emphasizes teamwork, dependable attendance, and compassionate patient interaction. Training progresses toward licensure/credentialing with mentorship and clinical practice across the 800 Neuro-Ortho unit.

Qualifications

• Education Preferred: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Experience Preferred: Prior patient care or health care related experience.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff.
• Take vitals, bathe, dress, move patients, change linens and other duties as assigned.
• Obtains information on patient condition as requested by the nursing staff and reports changes.
