Job summary

Allegheny General Hospital seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the 9C Neuro Trauma Telemetry Unit. You will provide nursing care for neuroscience patients and general medicine/trauma, following the nursing process from admission to discharge.

Experience in neuro telemetry and critical care is valued. The role is full-time, with a rotating schedule, weekends and holidays per policy, and requires Act 34/33/73 clearances and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania RN license or multi-state licensure through eNLC.
• Current CPR certification.
• Clearances: Act 34, Act 33, Act 73 and FBI fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates clinical assessment skills and care planning.
• Provides safe and effective care for the age population served according to regulatory requirements.
• Directs and manages activities of patient care delivery by the team.
• Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team for plan of care from admission through discharge.
• Assesses learning needs of patient and family and provides education based on age, culture and willingness to learn.
