Job summary
Scripps Memorial La Jolla is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the NST ICU to provide specialized care during 12-hour night shifts. This Magnet-designated hospital offers advanced Neuro-Surgical Trauma ICU services and a comprehensive stroke program, with a focus on evidence-based patient-centered care.
The ideal candidate will have ICU experience, California RN licensure, and BLS/ACLS certifications, plus strong teamwork and commitment to professional practice.
Qualifications
- Nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- One year of recent RN experience in an adult ICU.
- California Registered Nurse License.
- Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS Certification.
- Must be able to read, speak and follow instructions in English.
- Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.
Responsibilities
- Providing direct patient care within the scope of your practice.
- Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care, and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes.
- With quality patient and family-centered care in mind, the RN takes primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under their supervision.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.
