Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Director of Translational Medicine to lead translational activities in neurological and neuropsychiatric indications and set biomarker strategies to support drug development programs.

The role requires extensive late-stage biomarker experience, collaboration with CROs and internal teams, and proven leadership in delivering data for regulatory submissions. Hybrid work model, Princeton, NJ.

Qualifications

• PhD or MD/PhD in neuroscience with 10+ years translational medicine experience.
• 7+ years of late-stage clinical biomarker experience in biotech/pharma.
• Recognized expertise in translational biomarkers in neurology space.
• Experience in late-stage drug development and activities for clinical trial initiation, maintenance and completion.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements program-specific late development biomarker/translational plans and interfaces with CROs.
• Determines assays and vendors for clinical biomarkers and outsources biomarker development.
• Manages clinical biomarker data delivery and analysis with timelines.
• Prepares and delivers internal and external translational/biomarker presentations.
• Maintains biomarker data publication timelines with Medical Communications and Publication teams.
• Keeps up-to-date with literature and acts as SME within TM team.
• Collaborates with TM lab scientists and academic TLs on nonclinical translational questions.
• Participates in post-hoc biomarker analysis and publication efforts.
• Supports regulatory submissions and regulatory interactions as needed.
