Job summary

The Bon Secours system seeks a Clinical Unit Leader for Southside Medical Center to coordinate patient care on a designated unit and lead a healthcare team. Working with the Clinical Manager, you will apply nursing processes and clinical knowledge to promote clinical excellence and patient satisfaction while ensuring efficient resource use.

Requirements include a BSN (preferred), current RN license in the state or a compact, and unit-specific certifications.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state of work or compact (required).
• BLS required or obtained on hire (preferred before patient care).
• Unit-specific certifications recommended (PALS/ACLS/NRP/ENPC).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care on designated unit with Clinical Manager.
• Adjust schedules and assignments based on acuity and resources.
• Provide staff guidance and act as unit leader in absence.
• Ensure safety, infection control, and effective communication.
• Mentor staff and support continuous quality improvement.
