Job summary

Vanderbilt University Medical Center is seeking an RN for a Neuro Stepdown unit to plan and implement patient care, educate patients and families, and coordinate continuum of care. The role involves fast-paced, collaborative care for adults 18+, with a focus on neurological conditions and postoperative needs.

You will participate in ongoing professional growth, align with nursing standards, and contribute to team goals for quality outcomes on a day shift.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating and implementing care plans using the nursing process.
• Ability to educate patients and families about care plans and ongoing needs.
• Experience performing comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practice in nursing.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs.
• Analyzes comprehensive information pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine nursing diagnosis.
• continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient's progress towards goals and apply interventions.
• Employs strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.
