Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is seeking an experienced RN for Neuro Stepdown in the Vanderbilt University Medical Center system. The environment is fast-paced, collaborative, and features state-of-the-art equipment and specialized teams, with adult patients aged 18 and older treated for complex neurological conditions.

This full-time day shift runs 7:00am–7:00pm, three days per week, totaling 36 hours, with some weekends.

Qualifications

• Applies the nursing process to plan and implement care, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning.
• Communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team.
• Collaborates to establish patient goals and evaluate progress.
• Engages in learning activities according to nursing standards.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in establishing the plan of care and coordinates care across the continuum.
• Analyzes comprehensive information to determine nursing diagnoses.
• Continuously uses the nursing process to evaluate progress and apply interventions.
