Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Neuro Science unit. This full-time night shift position features 12-hour shifts with every-other-weekend rotation and a 20-bed unit caring for spine/neck/head surgery, stroke, and seizure patients.

Self-scheduling and collegial multidisciplinary teamwork support work-life balance. Applicants should hold an RN license with BSN preferred, and complete BLS within 30 days; ACLS/PALS/NIHSS within six months.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license required.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS, PALS and NIHSS within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and accurate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.
