Job summary

Craig Hospital in Englewood, CO is seeking a Registered Nurse RN to join the 3 West Neuro & Rehab unit on nights (3W). This is a full-time, 12-hour shift position with a 0.9 FTE across 3 days per week and two weekend shifts every other week.

You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop care plans with the interdisciplinary team, educate patients and families, administer medications, and contribute to a safety-focused, high-acuity environment.

Qualifications

• Current Colorado RN license.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS and CNRN/CRRN preferred.
• BSN within 18 months of hire.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience; neuroscience/rehab preferred.
• Experience in neuroscience, acute med-surg, or rehabilitation desired.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective, compassionate care aligned with Craig’s standards and the ANA Code of Ethics.
• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Educate patients and families on care plans, goals, and long-term self-management techniques.
• Coordinate care across disciplines to ensure smooth transitions and continuity.
• Safely administer medications and monitor for efficacy and adverse effects.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely.
• Apply infection prevention and patient safety principles in every interaction.
• Supervise and delegate to unlicensed staff and students as appropriate.
• Support orientation of new staff and participate in precepting when assigned.
• Participate in Shared Governance, quality improvement, and professional development.
• Contribute to a respectful, team-oriented unit culture.
